The monumental basilica, whose main towers were largely completed this year to mark the 100th anniversary of Gaudí’s death, captivates visitors with its ornate facades, soaring spires, and a light-filled interior where stained-glass windows create mesmerizing plays of color.
Park Güell evokes a fairytale fantasy world. Between its winding paths, artful stone structures, and famous mosaics, a unique view of Barcelona unfolds. Casa Batlló is also among the city’s most iconic buildings. Its undulating facade, colorful ceramic elements, and balcony-like windows give the house an almost lifelike quality.
Casa Milà, also known as „La Pedrera,“ impresses with its massive natural stone facade, flowing lines, and iconic chimneys on the rooftop terrace, which resemble modern sculptures. The elegant Palau Güell showcases Gaudí’s extraordinary creativity from an early stage. The artfully designed rooms and decorative chimneys, in particular, make this city palace an architectural highlight.
Gaudí’s buildings uniquely combine architecture, art and nature, making Barcelona one of the most fascinating cities in Europe for me.
